HOW TO PREP FOR YOUR SOD
MEASURE
Measure your desired area by multiplying length by width to find your square footage.
PREP
Determine when you'll be ready to install by clearing and leveling your area. Be sure to remove any rocks or large roots in the ground.

INSTALL TIPS (OR HIRE THE PROS)
TIME
Sod needs to be laid within 24 hours of delivery for best results. It is a plant and needs to be installed and watered ASAP.
PYRAMID PATTERN
We recommend starting in one corner of the yard and laying the pieces in a pyramid shape. This ensures no two seams line up for best chance of avoiding gaps and voids.
CLEAN LAYING
After you lay the sod, walk the entire area and look for gaps or holes. You can rip up a larger piece and fill in the voids. Be sure to trim up the edges for a clean and tidy look.
AFTERCARE
DAY 0
Lay the sod as soon as it is delivered. Even a few hours rolled up in the sun can kill it. Water immediately. Soak it until the water penetrates the soil. If you want to fertilize it, choose a starter fertilizer. Fertilize on the first day or anytime within the first month.
WEEK 1-2
Water daily during this time. If it is extremely hot or windy, water twice a day. You want to keep the sod moist. Minimize foot traffic. Mow once it is long enough to mow.
WEEK 3-4
Reduce watering to every other day. Foot traffic is acceptable.
